It seems fitting (and lamely expected) that this blog gets a restart, as one does.
Will things be different this time, here at the dawn of the year? How many posts will it take before things grow cold again? Is it because I can’t sleep at the moment? I don’t want to answer these right now. All I want is to post .

Probably the plant with the most history woven into its existence, the papyrus has been written on by ancient civilizations, made into sandals and even carried a biblical figure to his destiny. These stalks, generations removed, sway gently into focus in a fish pond in my mother’s home.
